Molivos, also known by the more specifically Hellenic name
Mithymna, is at the northern tip of the Lesvos (Lesbos). It's a highly picturesque castle-crowned village with stone and pink-pastel stucco mansions capped by red-tiled roofs,
balconies and windows decorated with geraniums and roses. It is a beautiful place to visit and a convenient base for touring the island.
Molivos through the years has retained its traditional character: numerous manor-houses, with stone-paved lanes and
an old flee market, covered with plants that overgrow smelling in spring and offering their shade during the summer heat.
Locals are hospitable, kind and keen to be of any help to you when required.
The MOLIVOS BEACH area is the heart of the
village and everything from there is in a walking distance.
Overlooking Molivos Bay (MEMBER OF THE TEN
most beautiful Bays on Earth ORGANIZATION) is home to many restaurants,
cafes, clubs etc.
When you are in Molivos make sure you pay a visit in the area
